On behalf of the Academic Culture and Outreach Committee, the University of Utah School of Architecture will host the first event in the Spring 2026 Lecture Series on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM in Room 127 of the Architecture Building.  The lecture will be delivered by Emma Rose Hanson (M.Arch ‘25), recipient of the 2025 Bailey Travel Fellowship, a funded research opportunity offered to the University of Utah School of Architecture’s graduating masters cohort each year.

With the fellowship, Emma traveled to three cities in Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brasilia, studying modern architecture and especially museum spaces, with a special focus on the work of architects Lina Bo Bardi and Oscar Niemeyer. She will share the results of her research trip with us tomorrow.
