Surbhi Ghodke, Assoc. AIA is a Design Professional at HKS Salt Lake City, where she contributes to complex healthcare and community projects for Intermountain Health, University of Utah Health, and other clients. Her work bridges design excellence and human-centered impact, spanning all project phases—from conceptual design to strategy and studio culture.

In 2025, Surbhi was selected as an HKS Global Design Fellow, during which she developed a tactical urbanism proposal to support refugee communication and integration in downtown Dallas. She also serves as the Salt Lake City Forum Representative, amplifying design dialogue within the firm.

Surbhi’s local and regional leadership extends beyond the office. She serves on the NOMA Utah Board (2025–2027). Surbhi mentors students through WIAS Utah and NOMA Project Pipeline. Her voice has contributed to the 2024 WIA Utah Pecha Kucha Night, arcXart at Design Week SLC, and AIA Utah’s Reflection Magazine, consistently advocating for inclusive and community-driven design.

Academically, Surbhi graduated valedictorian of the 2023 Master of Architecture class at the University of Utah, where she was the graduate convocation speaker and recipient of the ARCC Student Medal and AIA Utah Student Merit Award. Her thesis, Design to Heal, was featured in the 2023 Study Architecture National Student Showcase. Surbhi’s work reflects integrity, creativity, and a deep belief in architecture’s power to connect people and place.

According to the Award Criteria, the Associate Member Award is given to an individual who has shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession and community as an associate member of AIA Utah.
