Ashley Iordanov, AIA is an Associate Instructor at the School of Architecture and Project Architect at AtlasArchitects. She believes that architecture plays an essential role in the community and is passionate about social responsibility. She received her Bachelor of Art in Interior Design from BYU-Idaho and her Master of Architecture from the University of Utah. Ashley teaches varied classes at the University of Utah's School of Architecture with a focus on developing the fundamental skills of design. She is a strong advocate for gender parity and serves as a board member of the Women in Architecture where she focuses on connecting students and the professional community.
Ashley lived in several states and countries while growing up and developed a love for travel and experiencing different cultures at an early age. Being raised in a variety of surroundings, she developed a sensitivity to space and a desire to use the built environment as a catalyst for daily life. Ashley has worked on a variety of projects, including tenant improvements, retail spaces, banks, community centers, residences, fire stations and multi-family housing. She is a fervent believer in the power of education to improve the lives of the students, their communities and the world at large. She is enthusiastic about working directly with students and one of her greatest joys is being able to see the impact of education firsthand. She currently serves as the NCARB Advisor in the School of Architecture.
