FTI World Congress 2022 Reflections

Professor Ajla Aksamija, who also serves as the President of the Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) and was one of the organizers of the last fall’s FTI 2022 World Congress, presents reflections on this event which gathered the built environments professionals, academics, and students from around the world to discuss advancements in facade technologies. At the 2022 World Congress, strategies for controlling and reducing carbon emissions through effective facade system utilization were at the forefront. As the previous 2020 World Congress had to be held virtually due to pandemic restrictions, the 2022 event was extra special for its opportunities for face-to-face interactions and had received overwhelmingly positive reactions from those who attended.

Take a journey through the 2022 World Congress photo gallery and Prof. Aksamija’s reflections on this event.

Also, keep an eye out for the FTI’s upcoming call for papers for the 2024 World Congress, and note that student membership for this organization is free.  For more information on student membership, please see this document.
