Dr. Timothy O. Adekunle joins the School of Architecture as an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies. Dr. Adekunle’s teaching and research work focuses on sustainable architecture, building technologies, materials and construction methods, and the integration of building systems. Dr. Adekunle’s previous academic appointments include the University of Hartford, where he served as an Associate Professor in the College of Engineering, and the University of Kent.
Dr. Adekunle earned his Ph.D. in Architecture from the Kent School of Architecture at the University of Kent. He also holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Nottingham, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Federal University of Technology in Nigeria.
Dr. Adekunle will be teaching design studios, sustainable design courses, and building technology classes. In his role as the Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Adekunle will work on strengthening our graduate programs, overseeing the admission process for graduate students, advising, and coordinating graduate curriculum development.
