Professor Anne Mooney, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, the co-founder of Sparano + Mooney Architecture design firm, and her team have published a monograph on their award-winning designs, titled Sparano + Mooney Architecture: A Way of Working. Focusing primarily on the American West’s mountainous areas, the monograph explores ten selected projects of varying scales and typologies, including new construction and adaptive reuse designs. These works are centered on vernacular history, tradition, and art while embracing sustainable and innovative design solutions, technologies, details, and materials. With this first monograph, readers are offered an insightful perspective on designing architecture that thrives on – and is grounded within – the relationship between concept and place.
