Michael Abrahamson traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio on April 3 to deliver a lecture with Joss Kiely about their collaborative book project Master Plan: Soft Power and the Politics of Architectural Expertise. In the book, Abrahamson and Kiely investigate master plans prepared by architects in the postwar United States. These visionary proposals channeled growth and development as instruments of consensus-building by government agencies, institutions, and multinational corporations, asserting U.S. soft power at home at abroad. The authors are under contract with Princeton University Press and the book is expected to be released in Fall 2026.
